Nature Day..times THREE!

I really don't know what's going on here. THREE Fridays in a row we've had "nature day" in the Ladehoff house. Three birds.. all coming in from the same place that we can't exactly pinpoint. I *think* we've found where they are getting in.. but it's too high up we can't get to it. Still waiting for a call from the roofer.

But today was by far the funniest nature day. Silas decided to help mommy capture the bird. Honestly don't think I could have done it without him though!

Imagine my surprise to look out the bathroom door and see a bird sitting on the edge of the sink. Good thing I was already in the bathroom I guess ;) Then it hopped to the floor. So, remembering what Cat told me (as in Catherine.. not a cat.. lol) I grabbed a towel to throw over it. I held it up in front of me so the bird wouldn't see me, just the towel.. and Silas was right beside me. The bird then went under the edge of the cupboard and I was trying to figure out how to get it out but not drop the towel. I guess Silas could see I needed help, so he stuck out that trusty little finger and started towards the bird. This of coarse, sent the bird scrambling backwards, out from under the cupboard and right into the path of my towel. AH-HA! got it! Scooped it up and tossed it outside. Silas just sat looking at me like I was crazy... but I gotta say, job well done kiddo!!
